Welcome, I’m Stephen Malone and this is middlemonk, an exploration of my newfound Christianity. After years of curiosity, I finally embraced the Anglican church in early 2026 (right before my fortieth birthday) and I’m embarking on this textual journey to explore and understand my beautiful new faith.

I’m reading through the New Revised Standard Version one chapter at a time, writing down my feelings, questions and interpretations as I go. I post a new chapter right here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Australian time).
